hi, i have a pbo with a 2tb external hard drive and i'm thinking about installing medebo on my pbo but i'm a lil scared. I have 2 question, 1: how do i install it, is there a guide if so can someone point me to the right direction and 2: what is the latest version of medebo for my pbo. thanks
after getting no help at all here, i went ahead and installed medebo and everything went fine but now i have another problem. I'm trying to get thumbnail, movie sheets etc to show on moviewall but i just can't figure it out how to do it, this is what i'm doing:
i use guide for thumbgen to get all movie info and this is my movie path on my external HDD : movies/genre/movie (and all info gathered from thumbgen)
the problem is when i go to moviewall it does not show thumbnails, info etc. any help will be appreciated
Hi got into a good routine for creating the images, first off I just use paint - easy free and already on ur pc if ur using windows - I might have a look at thumgen. when you downloaded medebo there is a good how-to in there but here is how I do it. I go to media library then I sent the root of my usb drive to movie wall. Then each movie has to be in seperate folder with it's respective image. IMDB has good images, i usually save the page grab the image save and open it in paint- resize it to 156 x 232 pixels (right from how-to) and save it as folder.jpg (required for medebo) in the folder with the movie. In movie wall if you just have a folder.jpg and click on it - it will start - if you want the image to go bigger when you click on it to see details then you resize in paint to 1080 x 720 (from how-to) and save as about.jpg in same folder as movie and the folder.jpg, then hitting enter or select on the bigger image will start movie(or if you have both images, hitting play while smaller image is selected , will start movie) - this setup works for me because I can take it anywhere, cottage, friends etc and the images are stored on my drive. There are other options like yamj that will go out to imdb and grab the images and info but not sure if you have to be connected to internet(like does it connect and then store the info - or does it just read info), i usually shut off my PBO and it loses its wireless connection info so it's a pain to enter it all the time.
