Does anybody else have this problem?
I did a clean install of MedeBO shizzl mod 3.2 on my PBO (bootcode 27) with a 1 TB internal HDD (erased the previous firmware via serial cable and wiped out the entire HDD beforehand).
After a few days, when I selected a movie to play (via Video Wall or Media Library), the movie will run for about 10-30 seconds, after which the screen goes blank (sometimes - but not always - the sound continues). The PBO will cease to respond to my remote control, and then will reboot in about 15 seconds, and goes straight to Media Library (not Video Wall, to which I have the FW set to autostart in).
This can happen up to 5-6 times for a movie (or not at all), and then it will be fine. I noticed that I can often get rid of the problem sooner by immediately fast forwarding several minutes into the movie, but I must initiate that right at the beginning of the movie. Once I do that, then I can usually start it at the beginning and play with no problems.
I also noticed that when the freeze occurs, upon reboot, the option to resume watching where I left off doesn't appear. But as soon as I can get the movie to play normally, then that option will appear if I stop the movie and resume watching later.
The first 5-6 times this happened, I thought that perhaps the FW install/HDD format might have been bad, so I redid the entire process as noted above. I even re-downloaded the FW to make sure that it hadn't gotten corrupted during download. Same problems as before.
Any thoughts? I really like the MedeBO shizzl mod, but I never had this problem with any other FW.
