I have some DVDS on my hard drive that are ripped as full dvds, including all vob files, etc. My computer and PBO are networked through a router. I don't have an external dvd player. Is there a way to play the ripped dvds as a FULL dvd? I already know that the vob files can be streamed separately by playing each one separately, but that's archaic. I would like to play the DVD as if it were playing in a DVD player, when you have the main menu page and you can choose the various options. I already know that if I were to convert them to iso format I could do it, but I would like to know if there is a way to do it without having to convert each of the dvds to iso format. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I don't know about playing it across your network, but I would convert the folder into an .ISO file and then load that. I normally rip all my DVD's directly to .ISO and copy them to my PBO running MEDEBO but when ripping with DVD Decrypter fails I resort to using another program that outputs a folder of .VOB files. I like just having the one .ISO file so I use ImgBurn to build an ISO from the folder. It works great and you get full menu support. I've never tried opening an ISO across the network but it should work assuming your network is fast enough.
Just play the IFO file in the DVD folder.
