First off, I just wanted to thank you aasoror. You have done some AMAZING work. Because of your work, and how-to's, I have been able to almost everything I've wanted with my PBO without having to post a single question on the Patriot forums. Patriot should be giving you a stipend, or a retainer, or at least some free hardware for all the work you have contributed.
Second, I'm not sure if this post is in the right area, so if it isnt, please move it to the appropriate one.
ok, I have two PBO's, one with bootcode 18, one with bootcode 27 (I triple-checked that it really is 27). I have been using ACRBO or MedeBO because I prefer their GUI to the stock PBO. However, I just realized that I wasnt getting surround sound through my PBO (we watch a lot of kids shows and I just hadnt noticed). I have the PBO connected to my receiver through the SPDIF connection. That's when I read that both of these firmwares can only send two-channel through SPDIF. So I flashed both of them to aasoror's P61-Beta-(BC16+).mega.YT.4opt. VERY nice, and way better than PBO's stock.
I was playing around in the IMS Modules area and very excited to see that youtube was added. However, no matter what video I selected to play, I received a message "unable to play media." However, when I tried youtube from inside the xLive IMS Module (xLive->Social & Networking->Youtube), I was able to play the videos. This is the same on both PBO's.
Did I miss a step somewhere? It's not that big of a deal if I have to go to the xLive module to view youtube videos, but if I can get it to work in the other areas as well, it will reduce the number of "Hooooney! Why arent the youtube videos playing?" questions I get.
Thanks in advance for any guidance or light someone can shed.
