I decided to do some experimentation and loaded the acrbo 4824 firmware from stock PBO firmware. Everything went well and I was able to boot the PBO without issue. Acrbo GUI looks nice. Under the system info, this is what I have: Software v7.3.4 r4824, Bootloader 0000.0202.0027, Board 1073DD C+. I was expecting to be able to bitstream DTS-HD and TrueHD by setting hdmi to passthrough and connecting via hdmi to my receiver. When playing back a DTS-HD soundtrack from a BDMV folder, I get no audio, only video. If I switch to DD or DTS, I get multichannel DD or DTS. Any ideas why this is happening?
I couldn't find an answer as to why I could not bistream TrueHD and DTS-HD with acrbo 4824; however, I did get bitstreaming to work by loading medebo 5829 and selecting Passthrough Multi CH under the audio options.
Under medebo's system info: Software V4, Boot 0000.0202.0027, Board 1073DD C+.
I'm incredibly happy as this little $70 PBO bitstreams HD audio and costs a heck of a lot less than my htpc with an Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 card.
